Diversity: Na Myung Kyu

Existence-Composition, Mixed Media

Artist: Na Myung Kyu
Na Myung Kyu approaches the human form with a unique artistic perspective, commenting on the concept of nakedness and human exposure while striving to display the basic essence of the modern human form. The layers of clothing in his works meld with photos of the human body as they are compressed, symbolizing the artificial walls which have become inseparable from the human individual. The packaged contents provide a window to the inner contents of the soul, and each work is representative of an individual.

See Na’s work this Thursday at Eunam Museum of Art in Gwangju-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea in Hye-Seong Lee’s international art exhibition “Diversity.”  Beginning on Thursday, 25 August and concludes on Thursday, 8 September.  An opening reception at 6pm will be held.  The reception provides an excellent opportunity to meet and to speak with Na Myung Kyu.
