Artist: Sook-nam Song
To fall in love with the aesthetic reality of an image without consideration for the deeper truths it may bear is to ignore its soul and its core. Professor Song seeks to find and to understand these inner realities before addressing their aesthetic casings. As an
artist, Song looks to candidly expose her own thoughts and feelings regarding life, the foundations within her works. She states ‘I hope that when I look upon an image I can be returned to a blank state of mind, the beginning and end of every artistic work’.

See her work this Thursday at Eunam Museum of Art in Gwangju-si, Jeollanam-do, South Korea in Hye-Seong Lee’s international art exhibition “Diversity.”  Beginning on Thursday, 25 August and concludes on Thursday, 8 September.  An opening reception at 6pm will be held.  The reception provides an excellent opportunity to meet and to speak with Professor Song.
